RFID explained:RFID is an acronym for 'Radio Frequency IDentification'. The technology was first developed in 1940s with first patented devices in 1970s. Today it is widely used in virutally any environment from access systems through motorway tolls to counting animals on the farm. We offer RDID readers operating in several different technologies:

- 13.56MHz Mifare standard - Mifare tags have up to 8kB of memory that can be used to store information. This standard is widely used public transport, as skipasses, motorway tolls and as payment method, Communications is fully encrypted.
- iCLASS smart cards and readers make access control more powerful, more versatile, and most important of all, offers enhanced security through encryption and mutual authentication. At the same time, iCLASS is user-friendly, delivering the convenience, affordability and reliability of proximity technology for which HID is known worldwide.
- iCode - This 13.56 MHz High Frequency ICODE RFID Tag is designed for ticketing, library management, and anti-counterfeiting.
